Roadmap to God - Part 1 - "The 1st Thought - Grand Goal"
Have you ever thought to yourself that Moksha (God realization/meeting God) is possible for YOU as well.
Its not only for the Saadhus or Mahatmas. We
just brush it aside as some weird thought.
“Oh that’s not for me…definitely not”.
But as soon as "serious spirituality" is concerned, we tend to have some sort of "fear" about it... This fear about serious spirituality and moksha is inexplicable. Again the thought comes “Oh that’s not for me…definitely not.. I cant think weird...”
Well, please stand corrected. Because as per our Vedic texts, Moksha is equally available for everyone. (call it by any name- either God or the supreme Cosmic Energy). And actually the ones who are not thinking about it are somewhat weird because that is the only supreme reality.
Swami Vivekanand even calls all the humans as "Children of immortal Bliss" i.e. we are all his children. (Amritasya putra—a term taken from the श्वेताश्वतरो उपनिषद् Shvetashvatara Upanishad, which is part of यजुर्वेद Yajurveda). Swami Vivekanand was a great Scholar of Vedanta and Upnishads.
So its possible for everyone of us to meet God......
Just this single thought can actually
change your life upside down and can give you goosebumps.....
Just Pause and think about it for a minute…..
We
strive for various achievements all our life. We try to achieve materialistic
goals like
education, jobs, business, money, fame etc.
But what about this “Grandest
of the Grand” goal :- "To meet God one day?"
Won't that be the biggest achievement of our life?
An out of the world experience which will
last for many lifetimes?
Sounds weird for most of us,
isn’t it…?
Grand ideas start with a little weirdness and loads of imagination….
(Some of you thinking- "Arre, last week toh baat kiya tha isse, tabtak toh accha tha.....Abhi pata nahi kya ho gaya....? Moksh-Voksh ki baatein kar raha..." Hahaha.... Thats why I said, most of us think its a weird thought to think about Serious spirituality, but honestly speaking its shouldn't be so)
In the next part of my post (part 2- The Background), we will see what is the theoretical background in Vedic Texts and Upnishads about this, what are the philosophies which our Rishis and Scholars have put about this.
To be continued.....
